RUUSU x HVITTRÄSK – a giant towel is a beautiful and practical textile created in collaboration between Lapuan Kankurei and the National Museum of Finland, which brings a touch of romance and the harmony of Finnish nature to bathtime. The collection was designed by Reetta Ek , who was selected as the Young Designer of the Year 2017. Reetta’s inspiration for the RUUSU patterns was national romanticism and especially the roses that can be found in the artist’s home in Hvitträsk.
The towel is made from responsibly grown, Oeko-Tex certified linen grown in Europe. Linen breathes naturally, feels fresh against the skin, is washable and dries quickly. A towel made from linen is ideal for sensitive skin due to its hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties.
The linen gently reflects light in this textile, bringing out the subtle tones and timeless, beautiful pattern of the RUUSU x HVITTRÄSK giant towel. Two colors:
